Madelynn's Finalization

On Friday, June 17th, Madelynn's adoption was finalized in Ft Worth!

It was such a neat experience, and we had several family members there to make it extra special. Maddie slept through the important part, so I guess she wasn't nervous about it at all! They asked us in front of the judge if we agreed to be her Mommy and Daddy forever, and we answered with a tearful, confident YES!

Visits from Friends

Deji came to visit in April, and Katie came to visit in May! :o)

Food!

Maddie started solids last month and has liked everything so far.

She's tried sweet potatoes, bananas, avocado, peas, and apples. Yum!

Sometimes eating is hard work...

A New 'Do

Mommy came home from her hair class and decided to put it to the test!

5-month-olds do not like to stay still to have puffs put in their hair,

but it's amazing what an exersaucer, a nap, and doing it in 3 phases will do! :o)

Too bad several of them came out by the next day...
