Playing Outside

Since it was a nice sunny day, I put Madelynn in the pack 'n' play outside while I did some stuff in the garage. She loved it!

There's nothing like the feeling of the wind in your hair and your feet in the grass!

Party Girl

Maddie and I went to a friend's baby shower last Sunday.

2 Months Old!

Madelynn turned 2 months old today! She even had a smile for the picture after getting 3 vaccinations at the doctor's office this morning - brave girl!

Maddie's 1st Christmas

We had quite an eventful Christmas while adjusting to life with a new baby! She is definitely a trooper, though, because she travelled well down to Corpus and even by plane to Oklahoma. She got to meet all her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also got some wonderful things from Santa while at BB and Poppy's. :o) Below are some pics.

Our best Christmas ever...

On Tuesday, December 14th, the day we had been waiting on for 18 long months finally arrived! We drove up to Gladney in Ft. Worth and picked up our baby girl, who we named Madelynn Claire. She was born on November 10th in Dallas, and was 5 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches. We fell in love with her from the start!

We decided to keep the news a secret and surprise our families with her in person for Christmas! Although they couldn't believe we kept it a secret from them (it wasn't easy), they all agreed she was the best Christmas surprise. We won't ever be able to pull anything like that off again!
